New Triumph Motorcycles in James Bond film, No Time To Die

If you were excited to see the 25th installment in the James Bond series, you’re about to get a little more. The producers of the film announced a partnership with Triumph Motorcycles to feature several of their bikes in the upcoming feature. Primarily the Tiger 900 and Scrambler 1200 models that are being configured for extreme and dynamic action sequences. James Bond has an incredible edge this film.

Triumph’s CEO Nick Bloor said; “Here at Triumph we are delighted to partner with the latest James Bond film, No Time To Die. Triumph Motorcycles is fortunate to have a rich history of being featured in many incredible blockbuster films, so the big screen is no stranger to our brand. We know that our motorcycles are hugely capable and we cannot wait to see them in action when the film airs, including the new and eagerly anticipated Tiger 900 model.”

James Bond stunt coordinator Lee Morrison said; “Triumph gave us early Tiger 900 prototypes before launch so we could film in 3 key locations well before the bike’s official reveal. I have to say that we have literally thrown everything at them. Big craggy sharp rocks, deep boggy mud, high speeds, big jumps and huge climbs and descents across a variety of conditions. The Tigers really have stood up to the task incredibly well, with no mechanical issues, and to me this really proves their go-anywhere credentials.”

Throughout the years Mr. Bond has saved the world while riding several motorcycles, this film will be his first Triumph. Though the trailer only gives us glimpse of these two motor-stars, we know they will be proudly featured in the film. Because when you only have 90 minutes to save mankind, you should be doing it on a Triumph Motorcycle.

So what do we know about these bikes? A lot.

The Tiger 900 GT – This bike is designed for every adventure. Built with rider-focused equipment combined with state of the art technology to assure every ride reminds you this bike was created by Triumph.

The Tiger 900 comes in three models. The Tiger 900, Tigger 900 GT and the Tiger 900 GT Pro. The 900 GT is our star today, just like it is in the film. The specs are as follows.

The 7-inch full color TFT instrument panel offers a clean and crisp image in all weather conditions. You’ll need that as you’ll be driving longer on each tank of gas as the 900 has a larger 5.28 gallon fuel tank. Don’t worry if this goes into the night, this bike offers LED lighting in the headlight, tail light and indicators. When you’re ready to stop, you’re set. Each bike offers the superior stopping power of the Brembo Stylema high performance brakes. You might miss them as you’ll be staring at the beautifully designed cast wheels. On top of that, Marzocchi adjustable suspension.

You’ll want to ride all year long, and you can. Each bike is equipped with all-weather heated grips. Your hands will stay warm and you take to the road in optimized cornering ABS and traction control. The more you lean, the more you’ll feel it.  The 900 GT also comes with four riding modes. You’re set for any condition. Rain, road, sport and even off road. Because you know this bike is going to have you eyeing even the rockiest of trails.

You can now see why James Bond has become such a fan of this bike. But what about the other? Let’s learn a bit more about the Scrambler 1200. 

The new Scrambler 1200 is everything you love about the Bonneville but with even more. It’s a dual purpose ride that thrives in technology. There are two models, the XC and XE. Both are designed for peerless style and capability; for the road, for genuine adventure and for full-on scrambling. The Scrambler 1200 XE is built to meet more extreme off-road challenges but both will get where you need to go in Triumph comfort and style.

Rider will be able to explore six modes— Road, Sport, Off-Road, Off-Road Pro, Rain, and a custom Rider mode. You’ll experience a slick six-speed gearbox that comes equipped with a torque-assist and slipper clutch. With the steel cradle chassis, the 2019 Scrambler 1200 XE is trail ready. Dual Brembo M50 calipers clamp onto 320mm floating rotors and, in the case of the XE, mates with a radial Brembo MCS master cylinder that features span and ratio-adjustment allowing you to get virtually any feel from the brakes you wish.
